CRUZIN MAGAZINE

CRUZIN MAGAZINE #251

As we all drown in a sea of nostalgia, who doesn’t still love a tough, blown hot rod! Steve McDonald’s 1931 Ford coupe adds some Christmas sparkle to the cover of Cruzin #251, the highly detailed, supercharged coupe a ‘traditional’ hot rod in its own sense. In fact we’ve rolled out the red carpet for some very nice hot rod coupes in this issue, with young gun Tommy Craig’s deuce five window, and an old favourite, a chopped and channelled ’26 T with a lot of pizazz!

If you love to party in a panel, look no further than John Dente’s 1965 Chevy C10, a working class truck with a whole bunch of street cred. Last but certainly not the least, custom fans will melt over John Furlong’s 1951 Mercury.

Despite the border patrols we’ve still managed to muster a cool set of events, including the Baron’s Blacktop Blast (it’s all in the name!), Queensland’s elite outdoor event – Harrigans Hot Rod and Custom Show, and from the USA, Ed Iskendarian’s 100th birthday celebration. Finally we chill out in the amazing man cave of Ben McDonald.
