ASRF INTRODUCES HONOUR ROLL
To recognise those who have made a significant contribution to the sport of hot rodding in Australia, The Australian Street Rod Federation has implemented the ‘ASRF Legends’ Honour Roll.
“We want to recognise those who have helped make our sport/hobby what it is today, from all around Australia,” said ASRF NSW Divisional Director, Dave Clift. “They can be a car builder, supplier, painter or a member who has given a lot of their time. Anyone that has contributed to the advancement of our sport.”
Initial recipients have been chosen by the Divisional Directors and include the late Austin Arrowsmith, both a father and father figure to many young rodders, who was intrumental in encouraging and gathering support for hot rod shows in the 1960s, and Bill Jansen, a long running and very active member whose involvement in the hobby spans more than 50 years.
As more recipients begin to receive their awards, the Honour Roll will be launched and maintained on the ASRF website at www.asrf.org.au and recipients acknowledged in the quarterley Street Rodder News magazine and at National events.
