FUNNY CAR FLIP OUT!

Aussie drag racing photographer, Nick Nicholas proved to be in the right place at the right time while at the 2016 March Meet, capturing this sequence of Chris “Cowboy” Morel out of Reno, Nevada, flipping his “Little City ’Cuda” Outlaw Funny Car onto its lid. Just after leaving the line, fuel leaked beneath the rear tyre and the car turned hard left. With the right tyres digging in on the tacky surface, the funny car rolled onto the roof and slid accross the track into the opposite safety wall, continuing for some distance before coming to a complete halt. Emergency crews were on the scene in seconds and Chris walked away unharmed.
